I really think that when a guy likes you or more rather wants you to really like him, he'll clean up the place before you come. I have seen guys who never clean do it.
Not all of them.

Oh man, my ex got worse as time went on. I called myself going over to his apartment to cook, and it was a freaking filthy mess!!!!
Too make matters worse, he invited one of his friends who lived downstairs in! I was soooooo embarrassed. He probably thought I was sleeping with this filthy pig of a man!
I would ask him if he was embarrassed to let people see his place, and of course he was not!

If a place has mold, mildew and maggots, then it's too dirty. I can tolerate a little untidiness but none of the above.
I've been guilty of cleaning a man's place and all I can say is NEVER AGAIN. They will expect it after a while.
