How can I make my hair "move"

I unfortunately allowed my mom to press my hair and she went a little overboard on the chi silk infusion and its not the way I like it :ohwell:

Its not super greasy its just kind of has that STUCK look about it.

Is there anyway I can get that blow in the wind/fresh out of the salon flat ironed hair at this point????

ur best bet is to rewash......once ur natural oils start to kick in with the chi silk infusion it will only be heavier. next time use a dime size amount or less.I have very thick hair and thats all I need to get great results.

You'll probably have to wash it again OR don't put anything else in it until your hair soaks it up for a couple of days. Then MAYBE you should be okay and see your 'swaaaang' LOL

waiting awhile might work but I dont wanna wash again considering how long it took to press in the first place..

WHAT do you all think about dry shampoo? Anyone tried it to soak up oils?

I'd wrap it and wait overnight. Let your scarf absorb some and your scalp will, too.

Trying the scarf is a good idea, but in my experience, when you've gone overboard with the Chi Silk Infusion, there's no going back.

I vote start from scratch also. I only add a couple drops of that stuff after I finish ironing, I can imagine it would need to be washed if it were actually used as a pressing oil??

I would wash it, add a little product then blow it out with a paddle brush. I don't use the blow dryer until my hair has dried most of the way. I would then flatiron. This never fails to give me swinging, shiny, beautifully soft hair!

I've not tried dry shampoo but I have tried putting baby powder in it as well as wrapping it with a cotton scarf. They both did the trick for me!
