How can I get my puff to not be a Bush? ***PICS**

You're going to have to put some product on it or manipulate it before hand. You could comb your product through all of your hair and then pull it back. Or you could pull back a twist out. When my hair wasn't long enough to puff from a wash and go I would twist it or plait it first and then puff the remaining braid out or twist out.

OP, your hair and puff is beautiful!

Man, there are some gorgeous heads of hair up in this thread!!! Just gorgeous.

I'm getting out of this thread before I get the urge to bc. Ya'll make it look so easy to go natural. :cowgirl:

Your puff is cute.

Here is a pic of my puff:

I typically wash and condish my hair w/Organixs poo and condish. Rinse w/ cool water. Then I gently squeeze out the excess water. I then apply castor oil t/o hair and massage. I then grab a long silk scarf and apply it to the front of my hairline and criss-cross in the back. I then slowly move the scarf back in the front and up in the back tighening as I go. I then tuck the side under. I only use my hands and the scarf to achieve this look. And to lay down the side I apply a small about of Qhemet Alma Oil pomade.

OT: Your hair here and in your siggy is gorgeous.:yep::drunk::spinning:

(caught me completely off guard)

first of all your hair is lovely, that puff is to die for. i have the best results putting in sunsilk defrizz as a leave in then putting a little noodlehead on and doing the rake and smooth method with some fantasia ic hair polisher gel. once i rake and smooth product throughout my whole head i dont touch it anymore to reduce the frizz. the more i keep touching it while wet the more frizz i get. i lightly brush it up into a puff after a little while and secure with a scarf as long as i can while drying.

I've been co washing in the shower and putting leave in conditioner in then shaking out my hair then pulling it up into a ponytail. I've found that any kind of towel drying or drying other than the shaking results in the frizzies. HTH

Your puff looks great to me! You just did the BC recently right? I know it took a while of getting my hair at the right moisture levels before I could get a curl to show up.

I think you should give it a little more time but try not to fall into the "curl defining products" as I wasted a little bit of cash only to find out that regular old V05 condish. None of those other products worked until after my moisture game was on point.

I agree with the other ladies that talked about twisting first... thats sounds like a great idea to me. Honestly, i think that a few spots might be scab hair and maybe the condish you co wash with isn't "thick" enough. Oh and also try using a heavy butter on the last
2inches of hair i like Qhemet Biologics Amla Heavy Cream (qhemetbiologics.com) and unrefined shea butter is nice too!
