How can i fake more texture?

So I'm rocking my afro puff bun today. In preperation, last night I wash my hair and air dried. I only used a little leave in to help me tie down my edges. This morning I wake up and one side is perfectly textured while the other is CLEARLY straighter.

Is there anyway I can fake more texture?

I'm over four months post, I thought that this would be easy to do. I guess not.

Maybe you can try a textured style like a twist out, then gather your hair into a puff bun...
