Hot oils and cornrows

Anyone do hot oil treatments while in braids? I'm currently in braids (just my own hair). I condition wash, but I've been putting off hot oiling until I take my braids out. I was thinking it would be hard to get all the oil out of my cornrows. But, since its only my own hair, maybe its not such an issue. Any ideas?

It's not an issue when it is your own hair or extensions. Girl go head and do that hot oil treatment.
