Hi My Fellow Sisters,
I'm just starting out trying to grow my hair. My hair is neck length and I want it down to the middle of my back and I just wanted to know, when is the best time to do a hot oil treatment?

You can do hot oil treatments any time of the year, but during the summer, I would recommend once a month or every two weeks. During the winter, I would suggest doing it once a week; you can stretch it out to every two weeks if your hair can't handle it. Some people like to do them before they shampoo, or after they finish shampooing. Olive oil (I think) works the best b/c it's natural and most people don't have problems with it. I hear LeKair and VO5's hot oils work pretty well too.

Supergirl,

Since you do you oil treatment AFTER your conditioner... do you just rinse with water to get the oil out or do you apply shampoo????
