Hi, I joined in order to search the forums, and I find myself reading more and more. I am getting pulled in to the feeling of community here. Although it is mainly a hair board, it is also a nice community of my peers and I kind of like it.
About me: I already know what works for me, but every once in a while I read something and think, "that's brilliant" and add it to my vault of useful things.
I have a few girls, each with different kinds of hair, so I like to see what others do so I can incorporate those ideas for my girls.
I like verifen products (wanakee) $$$ it feels good and I think they were well engineered. I also like setting lotion as a moisturizer and blue magic hair grease as a sealer / lubricant. This combination has done wonders for me and hardly cost anything. So I go between the two sets. I relax my hair about 3-4 times a year, and usually braid (and by that I mean plat in about 150 small plats) 5 weeks post relaxer. This has also helped me with growth and less manipulation.
