Well, I know I'm not being PC. I really do like to see healthy hair-shine, body, bounce, thick ends at any length. :ohwell:

Don't get me wrong, so do I :lick:

But I'm more impressed if that healthy, shiny hair with thick ends is retained to at least APL :look:

thickness, health, shine/sheen, APL+ and swang if it's relaxed.

jet black is the cherry on top.

I have seen WL hair in real life and sometimes it impresses me, sometimes it doesn't. I think what impresses me most besides healthy hair is hair that flatters the woman's features be that it is long or short. I have seen fly short cuts, as I have seen healthy long hair. But if its not making the woman look great, I don't get too impressed.

I am starting to get really impressed with natural, full, lushious hair though.

I agree. If your hair is BSB or WL it means nothing to me if your ends look a HAM. I am definitely more impressed with hair that looks healthy, not just hair that is long.

I think some ppl are giving politically correct answers :look: we're on LONG hair care forum  With that being said I'm impressed by long hair both in real life and online. Anyone can go to a salon and get a short cut that looks healthy. It takes way more effort to grow your hair and keep it healthy so I'm more impressed by that.

maybe not, not everyone on this board has a goal of waist length hair. Some people just want healthy hair no matter the length. Some people just want to be diy and not be dependent upon a stylist. I am not a length whore. I am more impressed with the condition, the look and the shape of hair than I am the length. Just because someone's hair is long doesn't mean it looks good. I like good looking hair period. I like natural and relaxed styles. I like long hair, medium length hair and short cuts. For me, I do not want hair any longer than healthy full bsl with nice ends and a nice hemline. The information on this board is not limited to retaining length. There is information about styling techniques, diy relaxing, diy coloring, diy braiding, how to maintain styles, diy trimming, product reviews etc...

I'm impressed by hair that looks healthy and well-cared for. The more thickness, the more of a "pass" one gets when it comes to length. I often come across heads of hair on here and irl that are shorter than apl, but they're so healthy and thick that I find myself wishing my hair was like theirs. I was watching sons of anarchy recently and was :lovedrool: at Maggie Siff's hair, which is apl-bsl with unifrom ends and beauitful shine.

I'm impressed with full napes - the kind that are obvious when women wear their hair in a slightly loose high ponytail.

I'm glad to see that everyone is on the same page with minute differences. Yes to the poster that mentioned it, this is a spin-off post of the Gabby thread because I saw some comments that were a little odd to me. :giggle: This is to just get a general opinion, in no way should members feel like they have to impress other members of this board. It's just that you know, I thought I was seeing a trend in members trying to insinuate that they wanted to play jump rope with people's hair and I wanted to be sure that this was not the case lol.

I am impressed by hair the looks good ALL of the time @ any length. Although I don't have that right now, I used to and that effort is comparable to growing hair out.

I am impressed by Healthy beautiful well kept hair. I love even ends.
Honestly I am happy to see short sassy Toni Braxton Bobs Kept up because those are harder to keep looking proper than long hair so I am impressed with that.

I am impressed with everyones progress. There is no progress to little or too big to celebrate.

I am impressed with anyone going from damaged to healthy and aesthetically pleasing ends, regardless of length. I understand everyone doesn't want/need fresh trimmed ends, but that's just a peeve of mine.

I'm impressed with hair that is healthy, thick and long, but also appreciate health hair of all lengths and also understand that thick hair is not a reality for everyone.

If the person has fine hair, than I like when it looks healthy.

I'm more impressed with progress rather than length. But in real life, since I don't know their hair story, I'd say healthy APL+ hair. *Disclaimer* The OP asked what impressed us, not what we find admirable...I may admire a short haircut and think it looks bomb, but probably won't be impressed by it.

I am impressed by MBL - WL hair. Someones APL hair may look beautiful but it does not IMPRESS me. I think what impresses you probably depends on what is easily achievable for you. If APL has always eluded you, seeing it will probably impress you. I have never been MBL or longer as an adult so thats impressive to me.

Also transformations that end up @ MBL-WL and beyond. IE: Boston Maria, Whimsy, Lady Pinolo (I know that I spelled that wrong)

Length is not so pretty without health, shine, and thick ends....I've seen many chicks with bsl hair only because they had about two inches of raggedy ends:ohwell:
