My camera broke but I just ordered a new one so when that comes in that'll be the first thread I make. I have yet to do 3 strands on my whole head just random pieces but they last longer than my twists and the twistout makes a full spiraly coil as opposed to the waves you gets from two strands twist outs.

Here's some video's of it that I fav'd. It took awhile to understand how to do it but with practice I graduated :grin:

I did it!!! I am currently in a twist out so I took some pieces and did the 3 strand twist and It came out perfect....NOW I just want to how to do a 3 strand flat twist!
 
I'm kinda shocked that not only have I NOT purchased anything in over a month, but I have no desire to. Da horrah!

Next month I want to buy a steamer. My birthday is in February so that will be my gift to myself.

I'm hoping to be waist length by 12/31 but I don't know if I'll make it. I rollerset my hair 2 nights ago but didn't flatiron. Just put it up in a ponytail and/or bun since. My hair is getting harder to manage in its natural state the longer it gets. I'm not complaining but if I want to reach tailbone I don't know what I'm going to do.
 
Does anyone use Indian castor oil? I'm Jamaican so I grew up using JBCO and the Indian CO seems like it's similar texture-wise but without the smell. Plus, it is 5.99 for 16 oz! I am so heavy handed with products that whatever I am using has to be inexpensive or comes in a huge size. I guess I am not such a pj as as I am a volume junkie (vj?).
 
The K.I.S.S. method actually works :yep: my only worry is wondering if this progress I'm seeing will disappear once I give birth to my baby in March 2010. :perplexed

I didn't know you were pregnant! Congratulations! Keep taking your vitamins after the baby is born. You'll need all the vitamins you can if you breastfeed. Some people experience shedding once the baby is born, but not everybody goes through that. Just enjoy the extra growth spurt you're having.

Thank you!!!! I am enjoying this length. If I rollerset I manipulate it less and use less products. I wore it curly for 2 weeks straight and notice that it tends to shed more that way.
 
I gave in and bought curlformers... I've been wanting them for over a year so it was bound to happen eventually and each time I try to rollerset my hair the regular way it doesn't work. I hope this time it'll work even though I always hear how people are hating on it. I got it from the official bristish website. With this, my maxiglide, and a camera I'm done.

But I still need a blowdryer...

Change. Don't feel like relaxing my hair anymore but don't want to go natural either. I dyed my hair last year and played with color for about 6 months and really enjoyed myself. Since then, I have been playing with variations of bobs cutting a couple of inches back and forth. I think I might do one last style cut and then chill out for the 2010. I get bored very easily but I need to work on getting over that. I think I am going to do something like Sienna Millers bob cut with a slight variation in the back.
 
I am currently in doing wash n go's but I dont think its too healthy for my hair... as far as the knots!!! I am trying to find me some flyy whole wigs to protective style for the rest of the season!

Thank you!! :up: Yes I do plan on nursing again....I will be eyeballin this forum while I'm on maternity leave. :yep:
 
I'm on the hunt for a growth aid but I don't want to spend a fortune. I guess I'll do a little research and create my own mix.
 
I really want to be ayurvedic.
Why did I sleep on ayurveda in the beginning of my HHJ? I've seen those people's hair!
 
I'm really irritated that I ordered some products over 2 weeks ago and only one of the two orders has made it here, and that was two days ago. :ohwell: What is going on? I'm trying to stay patient before I contact the seller.

I think I'll do a pony puff today...
 
:( my natural hair is apl and I want waist length right now. I have so much shrinkage that its at the base of my neck/back when wet. I wear wigs as a protective style but also cause I don't know what to do with it. I hope when I get my trim in the spring I get to at least bsl and it hangs a little more, I would love to do a wash and go but on hair that is more stretched.
 
i want to buy some pro 10 hair...but would loike to know how many packs i would need....anybody?

oh, i don't understand folks who refuse to ask a braider they know and get their hair done by, how much they charge to braid hair for me but will turn around and ask me what i'm doing this weekend...i tell them "i'm going to braid my hair," they want to then volunteer their services. wtfits, now i don't need your help.:rolleyes: i sware!

Just received an order of goodies today. Got a sample of Bain de Terre Scalp Massage Scrub with sugar and fig; cannot wait to try it. Pissed however, just notice that my Themal Defense Heat Styler from Lanza has alcohol as the second ingredient. I'ld return it but can't be bothered. I guess I'll give it away.
 
My new blowdryer and flat iron are taking 4ever!!! Maybe its a blessing in disguise so I dont try and use it before im supposed to lmao
