I got my hair relaxed and colored (semi-perm) Easter weekend and just did a hennalucent treatment last night...no problems here.

Woo hoo!! (((pumping fist up and down))) I'm definitely going to give this a try, then. Thanks for the responses, guys.

I'm new to the Hennalucent idea and have a question.

Do you apply it before or after you shampoo? I've searched the previous posts and it looks like some do it before and others after.

I currently have 4b relaxed hair and am looking for a way to extend the length between retouches.

Thanks!

I did my hennalucent treatment before I shampooed. My hair was nice and dry when I put it on. You can do it either way.

Because there's water in the mixture, it'll be the same putting it on dry hair as it would be putting it on damp hair.

I have a similar question. Is it really necessary to do it that frequently?

Not if you're only concerned about color. I wanted the strengthening/detangling/kink loosening effects of neutral henna, so I did it for 6 weeks in a row. Now I do it 1x-2x per month (the homemade Gold Medal Herbal Tame routine).
