I have finally come to the realization that I have some serious trust issues as it relates to men. Also, more than that....I have tendencies towards jealousy when I feel like the man in my life is giving another woman his attention. I have prayed about how I feel. I have even spoken with my pastor about how I don't like the way I feel. I just don't know what more I can do to overcome these feelings.:cry2:
I really need God to help me in this area!!!!!!

Until the release comes, what do I do?

Continue in prayer. You also may want to consider fasting for your breakthrough. IMHO, the feelings you are describing require you to spend some time reflecting on you. Why you think the ways you do etc. There is no better source to go to for info about you than the one who made you. Now, I'm not beating up on you (all of my questions from here on out are rhetorical ok?) and do not know enough about your situation to be specific. There are times in a relationship where your soul is warning you about some foolishness involving your SO. Maybe that's what is going on here? That's different. Things will also be different in a situation where intimacy is involved. It is ok for a husband and wife to feel a certain possessiveness about their spouses. This is akin to what it means when the bible says "God is a jealous God." Who among us wants to invest time and emotions and bare their souls only to be betrayed and unappreciated? Is this man your husband or are you all just dating? Sorry my answers are kind of general b/c I don't know enough of your story and I'm not trying to pry. If you want to, you can PM me.

Queen314,

Stay encouraged! God sees you!

After reading your post, my first thought was insecurity --- something that most of us women battle. I recently read a good book by Beth Moore that I highly recommend - "So Long Insecurity: You've Been a Bad Friend to Us." She talks about the roots of insecurity and how to overcome it, with God's power.

Remember, You are fearfully and wonderfully made!

Thank you, I'm going to look for that book now!

WOW!!! I've just read a few pages of this book on Amazon and I'm on my way to Lifeway to buy this book NOW! I know I can probably get it for a few less$$ if I order through Amazon, but I don't want to wait.

Thank you for your post Dr J
