Help Ladies

Whenever I wash my hair and deep condition it ends up a poofy mess. It looks like I have no relaxer in my hair at all. The only time this does not happen is if I use the DR line from Aveda, but I do not want to use the product week after week. I would like to alternate. I tried the smooth infusion but my hair no likey, so that is going back.

Do you ladies have any product recommendations?

Please help

I am relaxed with lye not bone straight. After DC, I rinse with regular conditioner. Then apply leave in, which is aveda elixir...

I airdry with my hair in one twist.. My hair is usually straight once I tie it down and wake up in the morning but if I decided to rollset it would be a puffy mess.

Poofiness with a rollerset usually comes from either the hair not being fully dry when you remove the rollers or not making sure the ends are wet and slicked to the roller when you roll it..

Girl, embrace it!:) many women would love to have thick hair like that. My hair dries the same way as yours. To help the poofyness, I add a leave in and also some anti frizz serum (I use Fantasia IC Anti Frizz) while it's drying. I also pull it into a ponytail w/ a scarf and let it dry, that flatens it out a little. Otherwise, I let it dry loose and enjoy my semi-fro. Hope this helps!

I have to tie my rollerset down also to get a sleek look... the SILK WRAP works great!! I'm actually sitting in saran wrap right now :D

But I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Carusos... try some different things and I'm certain something will work for you.
