Hello Ladies,
Okay so here's the dilemma: I have super frizzy relaxed hair. Any small thing and POOOOOF! People keep asking me wether or not I'm natural, it poofs right to an afro, and I'm RELAXED!!!! I bought SMB to help out, I've tried like a gajillion times using different techniques for like 2 weeks, but up until now it hasn't worked and I followed all types of directions. My hair still poofs. I'm confused because I see naturals everywhere that can walk in light rain and STILL have no reversion.
I read SMB reviews and I'm wondering why it isnt working for me. I musn't give up, because I know there is a solution.
So my question is, can someone please either make a video or give super descriptive directions on how they use SMB?Pretty Pleeeeeeaaasssssseeee?!?!? *pouts*
TIA

Did you follow the directions that came with your Sabino? It is similar to applying a regular heat protectant, but they recommend having the flat iron at a rather high heat.

I heard, either from here or youtube that your hair needs to have the right amount of moisture before you straighten it so it will not try to grab moisture from the air. I don't straighten that often so I haven't been able to test this out. You may need to change products to make sure you have the right moisture/protein balance if you hair is normally dry after washing/conditioning it.

My suggestion is to apply John Frieda Frizz-Ease to damp hair. I have never even cared to get SMB because I discovered John Frieda when I was relaxed and it served me well. And after I was natural, it still gave me the smoothest flat-ironing results:

Follow the instructions and I think you will be pleased. I don't know if they still do it but back when I first tried it (my relaxed days) you could get it in a small sachet/packet so that you could just get a couple or so and try them out. Even airdrying with that applied gave me very smooth tresses. Wavy but frizz free. Since JF and I got married, I've never strayed. And that's coz it keeps me uber happy.

Even for heat protectants, I use JF Frizz Ease and then heat protectant serum. Love the line...and think that they are pros in that field. Did I mention my natural hair doesn't revert till I wash it when I use JF?

Aveda's style prep smoother is fantastic for stopping reversion, if pricey.

That being said, i second the above post saying that your hair probably needs more moisture, which is why ts trying to grab it out of the air, I don't think it matters how good your heat protectant is if your hair is thirsty...
