Help! I have a sore scalp. Does anyone know why?

I am 4 weeks post relaxer and my scalp along the hairline and 2 in. into the scalp hurts. I put moisturizer on it and it still hurts.

are you wrapping your hair at night? When I used to wrap my hair, the hairline near my left temple would hurt when taking down the wrap. I didn't notice a change until I stopped constantly wrapping my hair. I hardly wrap my hair now.

i noticed i have a sore scalp when i have a lot of new growth.

Update: I shampooed last night and conditioned with KC dry itchy scalp. Filled my spray bottle with water & almond oil, rollerset and now the soreness is gone. What a relief!
