Hello Ladies...Newbie Here

Hello Ladies,

I am a new member and I am enjoying my 2nd prepoo as I type this. I have learned quite a bit already from lurking, and I am hoping to restore my hair to its original lusciousness of old. I remember in high school when I couldn't stand that my hair was so long and thick that hairdressers would tack on an extra $20 to do my hair. My hair is scary thin now...partially because I had a mishap when returning to relaxed after being natural with color 2 years ago. My hair melted off of my head and left me with 2 inches of relaxed tresses. I had to run out and buy someone else's hair to sew onto my scalp pronto! Now my hair is armpit length, but so thin that I still have three tracks of sew-in for body. I would like to acheive waist-length bodiful hair. So there is a little about me and my hair situation. I hope to get to know all of you lovelies better in the coming years. Please stop by and say hi and it would be great if you have any pointers for me on my hair journey!

I have almost the same situation except my hair isn't even long anymore now :nono:. I'm gonna cut it and work on the thickness... the length will come. This forum is awesome, isn't it???

Anyhoo, I'm kinda a :newbie: too but I wanted to say :welcome2:

Welcome!

My only advice is use the search function and read a lot. There is sooooooo much info and it'll take a while to get through all of it but it's worth it.

Happy hair growing!

Welcome!
You will learn so much so just keep a pad and ink pen next to your computer. We're all on a journey to healthier hair so please share some of your ideas with us as well. I kind of new myself and I'm currently doing Shikakai and Amla thing for now and I'm lovin it!

I think 1st things 1st I need to devise some sort of strength and growth regimen. I have been trying to take notes, but there are SOOOO many products and techniques to try. I have no idea where to start. I may try mega tek for thickness, but I am a little concerned about shedding and disturbances with my scalp. You know what they say...fools rush in.

ITA with using the search function. I am an newbie too, and I have learned more on this site than I EVER would have learned about my hair and makeup.

Welcome! I know you will glean a lot of information from the forum and reach your goal.

Thanks KCcurly! I love your nat! If this works, there is a pick of my nat from a couple of years ago...before "The Incident".
