NaturalRox Well-Known Member Jun 2, 2004 #2 As far as I know heating caps help when doing a hot-oil treatment because it the heat gently opens up your hair cuticles and allows the oil (or conditioner) penetrate deep into the hair shaft. Hope that helps! ~Roxanne
