I massage my scalp every night before wrapping for bed. I do NOT brush nor do I use oils/grease on my hair and therefore use the massages in order to stimulate and distribute oils from scalp to hair using my fingers. Been doing this for decades and the results are lighter, bouncier hair that's not weighed down with oils/grease.

OK so you do an oiless massage.

I do head massages sometimes but it is not a fixed part of my routine.

Forgot to add I use oils-rosemary,lavender,jojoba,castor,hot six. I have no favourites.

my hair and scalp benefit more from my leaving it alone than it would from massages. sometimes the shedding is so bad, i lose hair from touching it. so i try not to most of the time...

Adrienne you stil experience really bad shedding from BC? Your hair looks great though so it must be all about what works for you.

i massage for 5 minutes in the morning and for 5 minutes before i wrap it and go to bed.
my hair and scalp feel more moisturized

I massage daily for 5 mins.I do dry massages and only on my slow growing sides.I noticed they have been catching up with the rest of my hair so I think massage works for me.
