rice water benefits to the hair and skin.
Jokingly, I was thinking to myself about the weird foods that have been mentioned on here for benefitting the hair when applied directly. I have no idea where it came from (maybe God), but the word "RICE" instantly popped into my head.
So anxious to research, I began googling rice and hair, with no good results. So I googled rice in hair, and saw something interesting about asian women who wash their hair with rice water and spray it on their skin (INTERESTING). The first thing I noticed about the pics were how shiny and long their hair was, but the ladies never cut their hair (so duh on the length).
Then doing more research on rice, I saw that it was a protein. So just based off of theory, I'm thinking rice water could possibly strengthen hair, but naturally. I plan on giving this a try. Since rice is sprayed with chemicals to preserve it and keep bugs away, I'll be going to Whole Foods to buy some organic rice. I'm gonna try two methods:
Have any used rice water on the hair? If so what benefits did you see.

- Boiling rice and pouring the water off. Letting it cool, pouring over my hair after washing, and letting it sit a while, and rinsing it off.
- Letting rice sit in water (after being filtered through my showerhead) for a few days. And again pouring it over my hair, letting it sit a while, and rinsing it.
