My right side is back to shoulder length.:perplexed The middle is bra strap length.

The left is shoulder blade length. The left top is down to about 5 inches, while the left front is shoulder length.:perplexed

But sometimes, if I straighten it really good, it all appears to be at least 3 inches longer and makes me feel like the breakage is all in my head.:nono:

What the heck is going on?:wallbash:

I don't care what happens, I'M NOT CUTTING IT!!! I'm clinging to every strand.

Anybody else clinging to strands?:lachen:

Yes I have a section that broke when my stylist burnt it off with the pressing comb:wallbash: It was growing back a little and then it broke off some more. Its really bad, I have no idea why this one area just does not seem to grow and it makes my hair look SO thin. I have oher broken areas that are catching up but this left side is stubborn:wallbash:

Your hair looks nice in your siggy.

I have never been able to cling to strands when my hair has broken off in the past from damage or whatever. That was always my original plan but I would let the stylist talk me out of it. I was never obsessed about length though before I found LHCF. If I had breakage now I probably would either freak out and let it go or try to hold on to it

I'M CLINGING TO MY DEADBEAT ENDS FOR NOW - ONLY BECAUSE I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MY HAIR NEXT. I'M JUST BEING STILL FOR RIGHT NOW.

I'm also clinging to my ends. My hair is not even and in some places appears "broken off", but I'm just going to nurture it by bunning and moisturizing. The right side appears a couple of inches longer than the left. I've had bad experiences with all of my progress being "trimmed" off just to even up my hair. My hair doesn't grow even and I'm not getting it trimmed until I reach my goal of BSL.

ETA: Please disregard my siggy pic. I was trying to see how my hair would look midback. I am challenged when it comes to using microsoft paint.

I agree BSL 2008. My hair definately dosen't grow even so I shouldn't be so concerned with trying to cut it that way. OP in response to your delima I noticed just the other day when I was moisturizing between my braids (currently rocking a weave), that I have two short very small areas in the middle of my head. I'm like WTF? Oh well I will just baby those areas.

You all just saved me from cutting my hair today. Bermudabeauty and all of you, great point. If my hair grows very visibly unevenly, then if my goal is for length retainment, DON'T CUT trying to even it up to fit somebody else's opinion of what healthy-looking is. Scraggs and all, I'll keep them (help them L-rd not to break off!!)

Exactly! I'm like, where the heck did this come from? Just goes to show we have to be very aware of our hair and how it reacts to different products, etc.

I'm thinking that my ends were overprocessed and they just broke off. So now, what I have left is healthy. So eventually, I'll have healthy ends.

I hope.:look:

I have one bit of hair about an inch square that always breaks off. It's right near the middle of my head and it has always done that even when I was little and had butt length hair. It's getting better with super special care but still it's an odd spot.

Yes. I have a small section on the left side of my head near the nape that has been breaking relentlessly for years and is causing me such feelings of bitterness. Yep. Ironically, this is the same section that when I was younger always grew so much longer than the rest of my hair. If I pulled that section in front of me, it was below my breasts. Now I literally can't get it to grow past an inch. It is so frustrating becuz of its location I can't style my hair. Right now I am sick of it. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
