Has GBP helped anyone with mild breakage/Shedding?

As I just said in my post, I have been having issues with my ends just POPPING! And I have been seeing alot more hair than I would like in my comb as well.

I was thinking about GBP as it is a protein...

Will it help....

Also any more sugg about helping my ends...?

Sorry... I have never used it. I've always been content with Keraphix, but when the one I have now runs out, I'm looking into getting the GBP as a sub since the formula might have changed

i used/still use it. never paid attention to whether or not it helped with breakage/shedding. i like the protein and moisture combo it provides. it's one of my staples. maybe u should use emergence

i use it and i think it proves to be very effective at curbing shedding. I use aphogee as my hardcore protein and GPB between touch ups. My only hang up with GPB is that i am not crazy about the allspice scent. It tends to linger.

Hi there! I used aphogee twice and it didn't do anything for my breakage but as soon as I tried GPB, comlete turnaround breakage wise! I love it and I really wish I had discovered it sooner. Usually I apply to dry hair at night and cover my head with a shower cap and go to bed. When I wake up in the morning, wash and condition as usuall and thats it! The end result is moisturized, strong hair.

I use aphogee every 6 weeks and GPB once or twice in between.

I dont think ther GPB itself really helps me curb breakage, but I do feel it reinforces the Aphogee. I mainly use GPB because it has a straightening effect on my hair. It helps my roots lay flat towards the end of my 12 week relaxing schedule. also, i like the moist yet strong feeling my hair has afterwards. I would definitely try it out. It can't hurt if you already have it, but I wouldn't buy it for stopping breakage as its main purpose.

I ordered the GPB try me out size...It should be here soon!

Macherie, I did use some ORS Mayo in my DC yesterday, I liked the softness and fluffiness, but my ends popped off after  (Not blaming the ORS cuz it has happened before. I need to make sure my ends get proper care--EVERYDAY!!)

SOunds like too much protein for ya then. I use it as a pre-poo but not a deep cond. For me that works better....

..but GPB sounds more mild.....

I use GPB as my protein conditioner. My hair hates heavy protein and I dare not use anything stronger than Motions CPR. GPB always seems to do the trick for light shedding/breakage for me.

I Love GPB. It's strong enough to keep your hair strng and detangles very well. It's also mild enough to be used all the time. I've been using quite a few of the Aubrey and Jason line over the past view months. I'm currently 7 months post relaxer (first time ever) and I'm not having any hair issues. You may consider adding an ACV rinse to your routine as well. I think the the combination of the Aubrey/Jason and ACV rinses have really made my hair strong and soft at the same time.

I used to use it every other week but now i use it once a month or once evey 3 months before my touch ups. it has helped for me. i use it on dry hair though then deep condition with AO HR(Honeysuckle Rose)
