...to straighten natural hair or new growth with a blow dryer? It has a lot of 'cones in it... I want to try the KMS Relaxing Balm, but the $18 price tag is holding me back. This stuff costs $5.

I actually bought this last month and used it on my new growth. It really helped to lay my hair down. BUT -- I am horribly heavy-handed when it comes to product usage, so I am warning you to use VERY little of this stuff. It is very thick. The texture is kind of like a thick gel version of the New Image Thermal Active Conditioning Styler that everyone was raving about.

After washing, I applied a little to my new growth along with some virgin coconut oil and put hair into a low ponytail to dry. After it dried, I flatironed (Jilbere') my hair and it came out shiny and bouncy. I liked using it for straight ironing, but not for just softening new growth - liked the S-Curl better.
