Plz move mods: Has anyone tried this? temp straight w/o keratin lasts till next wash?

Check the video. I realize it says global keratin treatement
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHMuRUpniTA
but watch it, and she says she does NOT use it on the hair and she shows the before and after effects. The video is to show that even without using the treatment, you can get straight results until the next waxh.

As for me: I'm natural and even though I'm protective styling I'm thinking about my wedding next year in a humid island destination.

I go back and forth btween kinky curls and straight but I'm thinking I want the length to show in a straight style but I know I can't fight nature.(hoping for hip at least by then or more depending on how much I cut in the next 6 months...I'm also removing the last couple layers).

Just wondering if anyone has tried this? Realize I'm protective styling (weave) so my hair is not seeing the light of day for 2 months (and I'll probably braid after that because I'm getting to my next goal of hip!)

Anyone tried or want to?

Hmmm, so she just used everything except the actual keratin to blowdry and flatiron? I would love to know the ingredients in the mask and serum.

to the above...yeah...I'm amazed if that's just a serum. I like the idea of extending a straightening without perhaps the heavy heat of the other procedure.

And mods please move. Apparently I had too many windows opened and posted this in the wrong thread lol! I had open entertainment and politics and haircare at the same time.

Well that would only last a week for me.:ohwell:

Her hair looks great, how much does it cost to purchase the shampoo, hair mask and serum?

Yes but what if it's one amazing week ? to me it looks like that just with blowdry heck I'd just blow dry and kim without using the flat iron process (not weekly). Wait until it's mostly dry and then blow dry (looks good to me). Wonder if it would even work on roller sets where you just flat iron the roots.

And those results: that's without the keratin treatment (keep in mind they even have a keratin formula with no aldehyde, formaldehyde etc. BUT still...you don't even have to touch that if this works).

to answer your question...looking on folica.com their products range in the $20 (that's w/o the keratin treatment...like for the moisturizing mask, etc).

Here's the serum it's $25

haven't checked out ingredients yet...

Doesn't any good press last until next shampoo? I've thought about using just the keratin conditioner and heat protectant spray, etc., that go with that braz straightening kit that you can get at the drugstore. My research indicates that ppl with my hair type tend not to see a substantial difference after the treatment, so who needs the stench and the hazards of being formaldehyde or the formaldehyde substitutes if the treatment might not work anyway? Haven't got around to trying the alternative method yet though coz the old fashioned methods work fine for me.

This one is just the conditioner not the formaldehyde keratin treatment.

And sure I guess a pres would last till the next wash, BUT how well...and how long (I sometimes go two weeks and use a dry shampoo in between). If I'm in an extremely humid place (as I don't flat iron hard core) then it might revert.
