Has anyone tried Shima Oil products?

Not to be rude or anything but I see these types of threads pop up every so often when all you gotta do is a search. There are enough threads about her and her product. As a matter of fact I think there is one with this exact same title.


This thread may blow up real soon. Oh and I have never used her products.

ETA: the accused appearently stole member quotes and claimed her "oils" grew their hair. She also stated going from shoulder length to waist length in 10 months with the help of protective styling and her oil.

To the OP, yes I LOVE Shima Oil! I was skeptical at first, but decided to try it out for myself. I went from TWA to APL in just under a year.

Yes, I've ordered it and tried it. Blame the pj in me- I wanted to try it out for myself. :look:
The oil is just ok- it works well... like any other oil- you can make it yourself. I must say, I don't like the smell of the oil. I also tried the edge cream- it does work VERY well, but once again, I don't like the smell. I will not be reordering.

ETA: No, it didn't contribute to my hair growth.

I never used her oil but I did come across some of her protective styling philosophy on youtube a while back and I can appreciate that about her but growing hair is not magic. There is no magic potion.
 
Okay, I actually ordered the oil and it was better to use on my flat ironed hair than my natural hair because of the watery consistency of it.

It was alright for my hair but a little too pricey.
