Has anyone heard of the microwaveable heat cap?

I found this item online and I am considering trying it.
It is supposed to work with any roller, all hair types. I think this is similar to the Caruso system because
steam-heat creates the curl. Please check this and tell me what you all think: http://www.microwavescorp.com/

Thanks!!

I have had one for about a year and I love it! I use it for my hot oil treatments; deep conditioners; henna condtioners. Bonjour.

I heard of it before but never tried it. It does sound interesting but since I don't use heat for conditioners anymore I wouldn't need it. I guess my husband would be happy because I won't be spending anymore of his money. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I'm not sure if this is the same one but a friend of mine were interested in this about a year or two ago but we couldn't get anyone on the phone ot ask about a moneyback guarantee. I wanted to use it to braid my hair dry and then apply the cap for a quick braidout. Have you ever used it for anything like that Mahaliee?

daviine, i think this is the one that music was interested in. i don't think she ever got it though. i'm still intrigued but don't want to spend money if i won't be using it regularly...

Adrienne...that's the friend I was talking about. We kept trying to get in contact with the company and no one answered the phone. We chalked it up to poor customer service and decided against it (at the time).

Davine: I would never use the heat cap without adding either oil or conditioner to my hair first. In the case of braids. I would spray my hair with oil and water mixture before I added the heat cap. Of course it would have to air dry after or else you would end up sitting under a dryer before you took out the braids. Hope this helps. Bonjour /images/graemlins/wink.gif

oh, ok... that explains it. i don't think i would buy from them either with that kind of customer service. /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif
