I never heard of blue steel! I used to loooove Marcels and then the one stylist I had in Houston who focused on healthy hair stopped using them. I tried to find more info on the feather flat iron, but I couldn't even find the price.
Your stylist was awesome! And right. Doesn't matter what kind of steel. Those types of irons that are heated up in the Kizure ovens are a form of DIRECT HEAT and are too damaging to the hair. Maybe natural hair can take it, but I would never use it on relaxed hair. Your stylist understands that ceramic/tourmaline flat irons are a form of indirect heat.
