I ordered Afroveda awhile back and I love it. However, I've heard rumors that they've changed the consistency of their products. I don't want to reorder my favs and get a completely different product.

Has anyone recently ordered from there? Did you notice a difference?

Since when? I have only been using them for a couple of months and I haven't noticed a change. But if you're talking before then, I don't know.

The only one I k ow that changed is the hemp lock seed butter. It's more buttery and oily like the cocolatte.

I know redecouvert posted this in another Afroveda thread.

I had to stop using her products when she changed the formula by adding rice water or rice milk ...it never worked the same after that change

I'm still using the products I bought last year. So, I don't know if I received products with the new formula or products after the change in the formula. I use the cocolatee, shea amla butters and the Hibiscus, Shikaki and the Sunsilk citrus oils. Oh, and her carrot seed shampoo bar.

When I get home, I can post the ingredient lists of my products, if you want me to.

I would like to try these products, will these products work for super thirsty hair?
My husband uses the Curl Define! and PUR whipped Gelly and it keeps his hair moisturized for 2 - 3 days. (He's 4A).

I'm natural, too (4Z something - 3" TWA), and I use either the cocolatte and shea amla butter and seal with the Hibiscus Hair Infusion Oil.

I DC twice a wk w/Hairveda.com SitriNillah DC or shescentit.com Banana Brulee DC.

Her products took my hair to a new level. I will always be a customer of theirs. I also received an unexpected benefit from her product. I have always had a problem with dry skin. My hands crack and I have to get medicine to use on them. It looked like I had a rash. After experimenting with Afroveda's shea amla in my hair, I noticed that my hands were healing. In less than 2 days, the rash on my hands were gone. My skin has now started to recover at a rate it never has before. I am willing to endure the wait period for her products.:lachen: If she changed the recipe, it really has benefited me far beyond what I hoped for!:yep: I can't wait to try her Pur Whipped Jelly. I think my shea amla & curl define will last at least 4 to 5 months.

I love their products...LOVE LOVE....

I haven't noticed a changed in the Curl Define or the Whipped Gelly....

I just ordered a few of the oils last week...can't wait to try those

The Shikakai Hair Growth Elixir is nice...but that has a smell that I don't care for as well as the Shea Alma Butter ... too perfumey

I wouldn't know since my first order was in March. I placed another order and it should be here by next week. I'll definitely be observant to any changes though.
