I was watching Wendy Williams today and a guest on her show referred this website to an audience. This is very informative, especially for us LHCF women, since we are cautious to what is applied within our hair. My city is on the WORST list but I kinda already knew that. Check it out. when you click on the link scroll to the bottom of the page.

Ughhh! I knew Houston would be on the worst list. No wonder everybody is "weaved up" around here. Lol! sigh! The water fees went up citywide 30% last month so I can't afford to buy distilled water too. I'm not sure about getting a water softener. It is what it is.

Posted the list of ALL cities. I tried to make it bigger for you all to read. Atlanta should be on there.

wtf! How would the top 10 have 3 cities in Texas and Houston happens to be one of the worst? A mess and half. But still, we found out about the hard water situation years ago and our showers are equipped with softeners. Ugh.

I remember when I lived in Austin, I'd always say their water tasted like CRAP yuck, but the water maintenance man kept bragging about how great Austin water is blah blah blah, and I guess he's right.

Yes! B'ham isn't at the bottom! :yay:

Fairfax, VA is on the list...Prince William County is close enough to that so I'm claiming it!

As for DC, c'mon now....do we really need a survey to tell us that the water is all kinds of terrible? Really?

I figured Cleveland would be in the worst category (like everything else). All the more reason I should invest in a filter for my shower. :yep:

Mine lil itty bitty city is on the list...we used to be ranked as the best water in the country...we dropped a few...but we are still good!

#50 Plano TX should not have made the list. I lived there (West Plano) for several years before buying my home and the water in Plano is hard and has a not so pleasant taste.. I could never drink water straight from the tap :nono: and I had to invest in a shower filter for the sake of my skin.

Other than the water--Plano was a fabulous place to live :look:

I recently purchased a water filtration system from Culligan. It was a bit pricey, but very worth it. By the second week, I could see a difference in my hair, skin, clothes (use less detergent too). I've stopped buying water because I can drink the water from the faucet they installed. It tastes better than bottled water.

I'm not even surprised that Houston is on the list. Prior to getting the system, my skin would be so dry after I showered. Now, I don't even need to lotion my skin everday. When the guy came to test my water, it was crazy to see the high reading. I have a prefilter for the entire house, additional 5 filters to pick up anything lol, and I have a softener for the entire house. I can take it with me when I move too
