Hello ladies,
I've been sick off an on since Nov. I'm now recovering from the flu. I've lost about 10 pounds, but I have been consciencously making an effort to eat and take my vitamins because I know that diet affects your hair health.

It's holding up pretty good so far, and I am reducing my schedule so I can rest more and fully recover with no more illness.

Other than my vitamins and trying to eat properly, I've been sure to sleep in my satin cap.

Any other tips?
This winter season has been rough this year. :ohwell: Looking forward to a brighter, healthier new year and continued growth. :yep:

I was seriously ill for a few months last year, and had the flu from the day after Christmas til after New Year's this year. I kept my hair detangled and moisturized, my ends baggied, and a scarf on my head at all times.

Wow! Thanks for the encouragement. You know first hand how much care your hair requires, and illness takes some of the fun out of it.

Glad you're feeling better now. :yep:

I deifnitely understand how weak you can feel and how much energy it takes just to shower, let alone wash hair while sick so I tried to keep everything to a bare minimum. Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks again!

Same here, I keep it moisturize, but I keep my scarf on all day everyday until I feel better, or have the energy.....being sick is probably one time I don't care about my hair......

I do the same. I had the flu this winter, and bronchitis, both of which are so dehydrating. I kept my hair well moisturized and kept my scarf on all the time. I have had some experiences with the damage sickness can inflict on your hair. Not good. So, try to keep it moisturized and protected. Feel better!!!:grouphug:

When I was sick with the flu, I couldn't even do my own hair :( I ended up not washing my hair for 8 days. I know that may sound gross to some people. I was wearing a loose ponytailed bun.
