I would have called the police

This was taken from another hair forum, posted just three days ago.

I had to go on a long metro ride and bus ride today- half of the journey was spent with my husband, but after I got off, I was alone.

I took my bun down, but had hard gunk in it... At first I thought it was honey, because I wash my face with it in the morning... But then realized it couldn't be that because I wash my face with my hair already up in a bun. I've just been trying to comb it, and keep finding sections which are HARD, clear, and like I have dried gel in my hair.

I then remembered that I had to keep turning around on the metro, because the guy behind me kept bumping my bun... I was alone in this metro car. I think that this stuff in my hair might be... I don't think I really have to spell it out. Unless he decided to put hard gel in my hair, then I can't figure out what else it could be...

My husband looked at it... he thinks it might be... that guys... yeah. I'm right.

I'm really really freaking grossed out. This is the second time a man has done something perverted to my hair. The first time was when I had waist length hair and always wore it down and felt tugging on my hair and turned around to find a man sniffing it- and who smiled when he saw me. That was the reason I cut my hair in the first place... I don't know what to do anymore... I already wear my hair up.

I'm pretty freaked/scared right now... I know it's silly because this already happened... but I keep being targeted because of my hair. I don't know what to do. This makes me feel dirty.

Going to go shampoo my hair now... And have a cry.

A big thank you to everyone who responded, and who has supported me/given me advice. I'm going to be ok. Not going to cut my hair. I'm just going to be more careful on the metro, and everywhere else for that matter.

That is so absolutely disgusting. If she remembers what that man looked like, she should file a police report. OMG I want to smack him and kick him in the crotch.
 
O.M.G. That whole situation is scary. Especially because her and the guy were the ONLY ones on that car. What if he tried something else. Ladies, we have definitely got to be careful and paying attention to our surroundings. But honestly, I don't know what I would have done in that situation.

Same here. You can state what you would do when your sitting at home reading it. But when you're actually in the current position, the police doesn't even enter your mind until it's partially too late.
 
Don't they have cameras on the metro? I know they do here in MD. I think I would've called the cops and had them search the tapes to see if they could find this guy.

I remember reading a story about a guy putting his "stuff" in some yougurt and handing it out at the grocery store as a free sample. I don't know how many people ate the yougurt before they arrested the guy.
 
Never heard of something like this in my life. If it's true, that's gross.

Idk though, if someone's hair is back in a bun I'm not sure what the motivation would be to do something like that..gotta be careful when you ride the metro though...

And if they were the only ones on the train after hubby got off, why didn't she move to another seat instead of having ol' dude right behind her? Not her fault. I'm just wondering. I'm keeping an eye on everybody if I'm alone on the train.

This is disgusting!! I've never heard of anything like this. The sniffer? Ok. But Jack in the back? Um... I done heard it all now. (still not sure what I'm hearing tho)

Yeah Im not following it either. Esp when 'buddy' continually kept bumping her bun. Like hello..... shouldnt that been a red flag to check things to or get up to move. Maybe its just me when someone touch my hair I have to touch my hair, its just a natural reaction.
 
NJoy The videos I seen happen on near empty buses, trains and etc. Usually the dude is standing behind a woman's seat holding onto the a handle bars. He's really quiet as he is doing his thing and doesn't literally touch the woman until he is ready to empty himself on her hair. 99% of the time the woman doesn't even notice what's happening behind her. Its kinda creepy. :nono:

 
:nono:...Now I'm convinced that there must be some sort of worldwide cult of men who hole up somewhere and do nothing but think of ways to sexually abuse/degrade women, and then share their ideas. That guy must have been one of their leaders.
 
Wow this is very disturbing. What city does this woman live in? I am from Boston but travel to DC and ATL on the regular. I'll be wearing my baseball cap on the train from now on! LOL

I wouldn't be cleaning anything off. I'd walk into a police station and file a sexual assault charge and tell them to collect the DNA from my hair.

I read further on in the thread and she did report it a few days later but she felt that the police didn't take her seriously.
