Is using a "hair masque" much different or more beneficial than just doing a DC?

*headscratch*

If so, what hair masques are your favorites?

I use a hair masque bi-weekly but I still dc every 3 days. I love it though, it's a step up from regular dc.

I remember I used to use Biolage Hair Masque. That mask was sooo thick that it literally immersed my strands to the point that I could barely see them. I remember it left my hair super strong and supple too and smelled delish. I am out of it now though. I never replenished any of my Biolage products because of my pursuit of more natural/organic hair products in recent months.

I think hair masque & deep conditioners are pretty much the same thing. Usually when I see hair masque I just think it's a expensive dc.

I pretty much agree with this. My favorite hair mask is from shescentit.com. The fortifying hair mask, leaves your so soft, yet strong. It's 90 something percent natural and smells great. :lick:

I didn't even know there was a difference. Anyway, two months ago, I used the NTM hair mask, and it's really good. I highly recommend it.

I really can't tell if it's better than my other deep conditioners, because it gives me the same detangling results as NTM Daily Deep Conditioner, Silk Element Megasilk Moisturizing Conditioner, and Profective Mega Growth Deep Strengthening Growth Conditioner. These are the only conditioners I've compared it with so far. I'll be comparing it with a few others as each month goes by.

Keracare Intensive Restorative Masque is what I use every time I wash my hair. It is my moisturizing and protein conditioner all rolled up into one. I love it!!! Makes my hair super soft (both my relaxed ends and my 7 month post new growth).

I Love them Both the Same.:blush3:

I'm down with anything that says: Deep Penetrating, Mask, Masque, Hair Paste, Restorative Treatment, Intensive, Super Moisturizing, anything with those 'key' words in them, I STANS...........:love2:

And if it says to use with Heat for 10, 15, 20, 30 minutes......:lovedrool:

My best "DC" was WEN's Intense Moisture Hair Mask. I am now realizing this wasn't a DC-it's a mask. This may have been the difference as to why it worked so wel on my hair. *Goes off to look for hair masks*

Pantene's R&N Mask. Just tried it for the first time--really good! Left my hair soft, yet strong. :)

Have to buy it online though--which sucks. :/
