I am currently taking hair energizers for about 2 months. It's difficult to tell about the actual growth because I'm natural and have a lot of shrinkage.

I am praying, however, that I am going to see some growth, so I'm trying to be a little patient. It's hard seeing all the beautiful heads of hair on this group. You guys are such an inspiration!

Butterfly takes them too but I don't think she got your results. I saw them on her signature and looked them up. I only bought them because you only need to take two. Did I mention that is why I was such a fan of Viviscal? I hate popping pills.

[/ QUOTE ]I took Viviscal for a while with good results but I stopped taking them when I became pregnant with my son.

The hair energizers has sparked my interest I will order when I have used up the rest of my vitamins.

can someone tell me why these vitamins are just for black hair? What is so special about them and what do the CLAIM to do?

L-Isoleucine 4mg
L-Leucine 4mg
L-Lysine 4mg
L-Methionine 4mg
L-Phenylalanine 4mg
L-Threonine 4mg
L-Tryptophan 4mg
L-Valine 4mg
L-Aspartic Acid 4mg
L-Serine 4mg
L-Glutamic Acid 4mg
L-Proline 4mg
L-Glycine 4mg
L-Alanine 4mg
L-Cystine 4mg
L-Tyrosine 4mg
L-Histidine 4mg
L-Arginine 4mg

That seems like a microscopic amount of amino acids.

I noticed that they are stingy with the aminos, too. The Hair Energizer FAQ's say:

Our vitamin is loaded with b-vitamins but they are only a portion of what hair and skin needs to be healthy. Amino acids and minerals are also very important.

I take a multi and liquid aminos, so I'm okay with the amounts.

Those exotic ones have all of the ingredients that people are taking. They include MSM as well.

Saying they are for black people is likely a marketing tool. All hair grows the same, black or white.

Two more questions Bett1e, how fast does your hair grow now with the vitamins and how long did it take to notice results?

YAY! I got my vitamins today!! I guess I will find out for myself how long it takes to work. Update in two months!

My hair grows quick anyway but breaks because it is so coarse -4b. With the vitamin, it seems that the new growth is stronger and, thus, I am maintaining the hair that is growing longer. I would say my longest strand is about 10 inches. (My back is my problem area and doesn't show the truth length).

Anyway, I saw results in about a month or two.

The key is finding what works for you. If this vitamin doesn't work for you, that's great. HF37 is quite expensive in the long run though. You can get an amino supplement much cheaper.

Let me know how you like it Tara and, if you don't, I will gladly negotiate a deal for the remainder; it's time for me to restock.

Asummer,

Someone suggested that your alternative would be to buy a hair vitamin and then buy the amino acids separately. What hair vitamin you choose depends upon what ingredients you want in a hair vitamin.

I'm not sure, you can go to

http://www.vitaglo.com/

and type in "amino acids" and see what comes up.

GNC has a lot of amino acid type products. A lot of the hair shakes contain a bunch of amino acids. The Hair Energizer has amino acids but somebody said it was not that much. My hair doesn't seem to mind and I use what works best for me.
