after months of sitting on the sidelines, just waiting for my opportunity to be a bunner - i'm FINALLY able to bun.... i can not tell you how HAPPY i was when i realized that i could make a bun with my hair and finally do something protective (besides braiding - which i can't do myself and don't really want to do anyway).... the upside so far (this is only day 2) is that i'm finding that my hair is much less tangled when i co-wash in the mornings so i lose much less during the detangling process.... second bit of upside for me is that i think i can start stretching longer now... i think i'm going to go ahead and do at least 16 weeks this time (i'm coming up on 10 wks post txtd now)....

i'm so FRIGGIN happy!!!! :trampolin

Congrats! I know how you feel  I'm still counting down to my first bun!

on straight dry hair, i just gathered it back into a low ponytail with a whole lotta vitapointe on the ends and Remedi Anti Breakage on the edges and used an elastic headband (like the goodies) as the base and when i got to the last wrap i laid the hair over the band and finished the last wrap....

when i do it in the morning after my co-wash, i detangle in the shower, then use an extra amt of conditioner (Daily Defense), my gueye oil for my scalp, the Remedi for my edges and some vitapointe for the length and use my denman to get all the hair back and keep everything detangled... i use the same kind of headband wrap and do the same thing except i have to put a barrette on either side (again, goodies) cuz the curly hair is shorter than the straight hair... lol.. and then i just make sure that there's not a lot of tension on my hair and i'm good to go...

congratz, every milestone is big. HHG

Congrats!
Also, it looks like your hair has grown a lot in 6 months from the pic in your signature.
