I cannot relate to it. Once I get to waist length......I'm quitting the forum! :Crowned:Carlie said:Here's an example of "Hair Anorexia" -
You can easily see long hair in other people, often even hair that is shorter than your own, but when you look at yourself, you see only short hair.
Can anyone relate to this?
When other people tell you, how "long" your hair is getting ... do you view your hair as long?
I've even seen people with waist length hair refer to their hair as "short" ...but who knows...when I get there, I just may feel the same...

This is not to negate....that this is a real disease...
it's real...and I hope we find a cure...

I'm sure I have hair anorexia too. I say this because I'm really afraid to wear my hair down bone straight (like sherrylove and sylver2--their hair looks great, by the way ). I haven't worn my hair down straight since the year 2000. Or is that 1999? When I see another person with beautiful long hair I'm guessing-- "Is my hair that length"? It drives me crazy but don't have the courage to wear mine straight yet to find out. It's like I prefer to be in the dark or something, I don't know.
I'm loosing it, ladies.
My hair a lot longer than it was a year ago but to me it's still not very long at all. I still consider it short so I must have hair anorexia. It only looks long in photos but on me... The more it grows, the more I want it to grow. I thought that when I reached BSL it would look long or feel long but it doesn't. I'm still happy to have it though. I just need 5 more inches...and I'll be good.
I think it's real. Although my hair is longer than it was a year ago...I still feel "follicly challenged." /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif
