H2pro vs. FHI

My first flat iron purchase was the FHI. At the time of purchase my hair was shoulder length so the 1 1/4 inch worked fine for me. After my bright idea to cut my hair down to a few inches I found myself dependent on the hair dresser because
  1. I felt like I did not have the skills to curl my hair myself.
  2. The 1 1/4 FHI just could not do the job alone.
This week I was in a crunch and was not able to make it to the salon, I did not have time to order the FHI and the distributor I know was out of them until Monday. I have to look decent for Sunday church so I found myself in a bind.... that bind led me to the "mall" and I left out with the h2pro. After my routine I took it out of the box all shiny and looking very much like the FHI... same styling, manufacturer, similar wording on the iron...

Alone, the iron if just fine, but compared to the parts of my hair straightened with the FHI there is no compares. I am natural and heat is very important, if I were relaxed it may not have made much of a difference. Even though both go up to 450 degrees, the FHI was hotter and left my hair silky and shiny. The h2pro did not and it is an impostor.

Will I keep it? Of course. My hair is growing pretty fast and I only have to use it for the nape area and to clean up the sides. I just want to post a review for anyone looking for a flat iron... spend the extra duckies and get the real thing.

I think the H2Pro is the same iron. Well I compared the H2Pro 207YVI to the FHI 207RVI. They are both made by Beautymax. Actually beautymax may be just getting these irons from come cheapie manufactur and not making them anyway,

The same experience with both irons, for me. I guess everyone is different. They are not much different in price anyway so if someone wants to go for the FHI, they may actually find it at a better price.
