Guess Who’s a Blonde?? …

………. ME!!!

So I cut and colored my hair today for my college graduation . I’m a little happy and sad at the same time. :( I’m sad because I had to cut so much hair due to breakage on the left side of my head. I can’t stand to have one side of my hair that has gaps so my stylist cut my hair to even it out. I really don’t know why this particular area is prone to such extreme breakage  …I mean it breaks when I touch it…and don’t let me try to detangle with conditioner!! I've given up and now my only resort is to cut my hair. :(

Anyways, enough sad news... I chopped my hair (only and inch or so) and now I’m sporting blonde highlights :D . I had these highlights done by the cap instead of freehanded like my first highlights and I LOVE  the way they turned out!
Now I must get busy taking extra care of my hair, especially since I’ve got this new color.

Check my album for photos (under June – December 2005)… and if you ladies can give me any advice on how to combat this breakage please let me know! I don’t want to continually cut my hair a few inches in order for it to look full! :ohwell:

Welll..... I usually don't like that shade on most people, but on you its awesomeness. So sunny, don't blind anyone when you swing it  ! Looks So, healthy, too. Keep up the good work cuz it clearly shows.

:lachen:... thanks girl. I was a little weary about going too light, but I like it! I can't wait until I can curl my hair up, but for now, this press has got to last! :p

yoli, I really like that shade! Looks real good!

Do you do protein treatments? If not, I would suggest a protein treatment once a month, like Keraphix, to help your weak side.

Your hair is very pretty:D .. the color looks good on you:up:
Plus it grows fast:grin: ...
With a little TLC... you will be back where you were in no time.....

Just keep it moisturized.. and do CW"s more.... Don't let the dryness set in....:burn:
Moisture is the key:bath2: :float: :bath: :guiness: ...

Good luck with your color and keep us posted....

Your hair looks great, I love the color!!! The only thing I do not like is that it makes me want to color my hair even more :p

i want that haircolor!!!! it looks beautiful girl.

Agrees. The color looks nice on you I thought it was brown though since thats the color my hair gets in the light (I have a relaxer)

Gorgeous color and hair! If you're not already doing so already, deep condition once a week with heat.

Your color looks great :p !!!! I absolutely love it. I would suggest that you do more protein treatments (i.e. Emergencee) followed by a deep moisturizing conditioner every 3 weeks to keep your hair strong.

I am loving this hair color on you! You are making me want some color and a cut well at least a trim!! My hair is thin on the right side and I try so hard to avoid this but I don't know what to do either!!

Cincybrownsugar,
Your hair is the bomb. I think color would look SO good on your texture, especially with your complexion, but if my hair looked like that I'd be afraid to put color on it, so when (if) you do just find the perfect person to do it, or we'll all be mad at ya!

It looks beautiful! And healthy- keep up the good work. And remember, those of us with color don't just love the moisture, we loves the PROTEIN, the hard stuff every month or 6 weeks. Have you tried profectiv break-free or healthy ends on the breaking side?

Oh girl that cut and color is looking great on you! Thats the kind of look I want for my hair but I have never gotten color before.Did you do it yourself or was it proessionally done??

Thanks for the tip. I've never really done a protein treatment, unless Aphogee is considered a protein treatment (which I did on Sunday). I'll have to research these somemore on the board. Where can I find Keraphix? Is that apart of the KeraCare line?
