Growth Aids and Your Flexible Spending Account!

Hi Ladies: Recently, I decided to get serious about growth aids. Last weekend, I purchased a tube of Monistat 7 to get on the "MN train." One tube of Monistat 7 at Walgreens was about $13 bucks. I was like, "Wow, this is going to get expensive."

Fast forward to today: I was having lunch with another LHCF member - telling her about my new growth aid. She was like, "Pay for it out of your flexible spending account."

* Ding, ding, ding...we have a winner * :grin:

I logged on to my flexible spending account's website, checked for eligible expenses, and Monistat is an eligible item! (Sadly, Aussie Moist was not listed as an eligible item...maybe next year).

Anyhoo ladies...those participating in your employer's flexible spending option, review your list of eligible over-the-counter expenses and spend your flexible dollars (or lose it).

Hah!!! I have not tried MN on my hair but I certainly would not want to submit a receipt every few weeks for reimbursement for MN. lol lol lol That will have to be a straight out of pocket expense if I try it.

13$?!?!?!

Everyone else was spending a dollar at two by buying it at Family Dollar or the 99ct store.

Don't they keep track of what you spend it on? Wouldn't that be embarrassing?

Admittedly, it is a little embarrasing - looks like my "lady parts" are on fire...but I really want 4" of new growth by my birthday! :yep:

Yep, I read in previous threads that the Family Dollar brand is on-par with Monistat but I don't know where a Family Dollar is in my area...Walgreens is two blocks away! :yep:

I'm sure they have a generic brand that is much cheaper than 13$.

LOL I'd have to just buy online. There's no way I would feel comfy buying yeast cream of any kind in bulk. I always picture someone I know standing behind me and being like "curlee...is that you...:nono:".

:lachen: This weekend, there was a lady in line behind me and I really wanted to turn to her and say, "This is for my hair. All is well with my vagina."

I have at least 10 tubes that I purchased at the nearest Dollar Tree Chain for 1 Buck apiece!

Ladies -Allow me to provide you with an *ahhh~haaaa* moment.

For those of you who have a 99cents Store in your neck of the woods. You can purchase Monistat 2% for 99cent. Yes ma'am!! And note that this is a "REGULAR" item in ALL OF THEIR STORES.

When I first dicovered it on the shelf, I purchase 5...lol You should've saw the women looking at me lol Like man! she either really have something bad, or she is trying to stock up!...:lachen::grin:

I didn't bother telling them my purpose. The cashier belong to the "how high" club. You know, "How high can I freeze and stack my hair!"....lolrofl, so I knew she wouldnt be interested; and the customer in line...I just figured that I would never see her again...lol
