Growing in thinning edges

Has anyone had severely thin edges and successfuly grown them in? I've had this problem for about 10 years now, I'm 26. Please detail how you were able to do this. I can't wear my hair in those protective styles because of this problem. I just purchased the GNC Ultra Nourishair and I took my first dose today. Yah for me, am I on my way to hair recovery? I hope so, 10 years is a long time.

MY egdes are not thin , but i would like to see them thicken up. I've been using Profectiv anti-thinning circulation stimulant and i like it a lot. I use a bit on my hairline 2x's a day and i use it on my scalp 3-5x's a week, so far so good. Its inexpensive also, like $3.99 and a little lasts for a long time. I was going to try the ORS temple balm, but i was pressed for cash so i used this instead, I 'm happy i tried it!

Some cures for thin edges:

+ Do not allow braid stylists to pull the hair too tight. This causes your edges to (ouch!) pop out.
+ Do not over process your hair. Your edges will suffer the worst of it.
+ If you have thin edges, crack open some Vitamin E pills and rub the oil on your edges. They will recover faster and healthier.
+ If you pull your hair back daily, try wearing bangs instead of pulling your edges back for a "bone straight" look.
+ When you wash your hair, pay particular attention to wetting your edges. Do not leave them dry!
+ Stop scratching your temples. If you have itchy dandruff, wash your hair more frequently.
+ Do not use heat on your edges. Allow edges to towel dry, then straighten them with oil and a toothbrush.

Mistaking myself for a bald ostrich one morning, I went out and stuck my head in the dirt for a month. After a while I decided I could use a bag of cheetos. Popping my head out, I headed for the nearest quickie mart. My house was on the way to the quickie mart, so I stopped their first and sat down at my computer. Great to talk to you again too, girl!!

I still haven't gotten my cheetos! /images/graemlins/confused.gif /images/graemlins/lick.gif
