Every time I see growth and grow new lengths I always need a trim the ends are SPLIT. I got my hair cut in June I dont even apply heat. I clip my hair up at night.Use herbal essences, aloe vera juice, and olive oil. Usually bun or ponytail my hair....

:ohwell:

Is your hair dry and breaking? How do you style your hair? How often are you deep conditioning? Are you using protein?

I dust on schedule when this happens. It might sound counter productive but when I do light dustings monthly I only have to cut for shape when I am ready to cut. When I do trims every season I need the trim when I trim.

Regular light trims keep the big chops away! About 3x's a year I do a light dusting with the SplitEnder, or the scissors if I'm in twists. Haven't needed a chop since last year by doing this.

If you just got a trim in June and you have more splits already then something in your regi is not working for you. Split ends indicate dry ends - if you're not using heat then maybe bunning/ponytail PS's are not your thing. You could try using an intensive moisturizer, sealing heavily and/or baggying to try and lock more moisture into your hair.

Are you relaxed or natural?

I had to follow up with a trim really quickly because I didn't get a good enough trim the first time. That could be the case?
