Grounds for Divorce

The Credit Countess
Man why do we put up with them. /images/graemlins/wallbash.gif So last night my DH ( and you can take that "D" any way you want to) says to me " I see that your hair is breaking off" now it's not breaking half as bad as it was last winter, and some of that is shedding, but I wanted to knock him out for saying that. It almost got us into an arguement. I was so mad.

So I had to explain to him that even though I have a little breakage it is not as bad as it was when if I rubbed my hand over my hair I would get strands of hair. I have been wearing my hair in phonybun/tails and not hardly combing it too much and I can see some improvement but because he see a little hair in the sink my hair is breaking bad and not growing.

Men tell me again why we deal with them!!!!

It's exactly as Netta said, men are stupid and they will say some of the dumbest things, at which point you just give them a blank look and not even dignify the statement with a response. It's like the one time my SO said "I think you were a lot smaller when we got together."

Your lucky he noticed. My husband wouldn't notice if my hair was breaking until I was completely bald! The only thing my DH seems to comment on is how long my hair is getting and "your getting braids AGAIN?"

He definately needs to be trained /images/graemlins/laugh.gif Doesn't he know that mem are only allowed to make comments on hair, weight, and age only when they are asked and even then....the response must be presented in a very positive manner....which actually means...No Response At All!!!!

Ha Ha!!! /images/graemlins/lachen70.gif My hubby says this ALLLL the time!! They don't understand protective styles and stuff! Don't worry about it, girl! They don't think before they say some things /images/graemlins/mad.gif

Thanks ladies, I know that men are stupid, I always say that God made man and then said " I can do better than that" and then made female.

Men don't get our hair, our weight, our makeup...they just can't relate. Just as we don't get their sports, their table manners (lack of), their refusal to get directions when we are clearly lost. /images/graemlins/spinning.gif

Well Rockee,

As sad as it is to say, "Just remember, men are stupid" was advice I received time after time just before my wedding. It's so sad it's true. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Ladies I can relate. Some things my husbands says just makes me wonder what he was thinking before he opened his mouth. Like my husband said, "so I thought you were getting braids???" I'm like "what?" Now ladies, my hair was looking fine, but when he say his boys girl with braids I guess he thought they looked nice and maybe I should get some.
I had to break it down for him. I was like "First off I never said that and second you know that braids always pull my hair out" He's crazy at times ladies.

KAddy...Please don't tell me that he said this to you on a "Good Hair Day"!!!!! I am so like laughing at you....You sound like me.....My boyfriend knows that when I start off my response by saying, "First off......" not to mention the look and the tone ........../images/graemlins/lachen70.gif

The next time he says that, tell his butt that if he would quit worrying the crap outta you, it would stop breaking!! /images/graemlins/grin.gif(Put it all on him! They do it to us!)

If I remember right Rachel, you're still a newlywed. It takes a while. At least it did for me. You have to TRAIN him in what to say and not say.

Haha! I'm loving these responses. I have heard plenty of stupid things from men before but the one that stands out the most to me was years ago.
My then boyfriend and I were getting ready to do a little road trip. I am of course casual with no make-up because its like 6am and we are going to be driving for hours. This idiot turns to me and has the nerve to ask "Uh...aren't you going to put on any make-up?"
/images/graemlins/mad.gif
Now, I am by no mean hideous with out make-up but I did have a small acne problem on my cheeks at the time. I guess he couldn't handle being seen with a girl with un-covered zits! Needless to say that relationship didn't last much longer.
