Wheat germ oil contains tocotrienols (as well as tocopherols). Tocotrienols are rare isomers of vitamin E found in very few foods.
Like tocopherols, the more common forms, there are four tocotrienols: alpha tocotrienol, beta tocotrienol, delta tocotrienol, and gamma tocotrienol.
Tocotrienols are alleged to be stronger antioxidants than tocopherols.
There's also another group of vitamin E called tocomonoenols, but the research on it so far is sparse.
