At first, I was going to only get two relaxers per year. Now, I've decided on only one. When I broke the news to my family, they were NONE to pleased, for fear that I'd be parading around with a nappy head.
I figure I'll just get my hair flat-ironed (first heat in five months) for my cousin's graduation, then back to braids it is.
Now that I remember how to deal with my natural hair, I'm gonna just let it do its thang! Hopefully by the time I get a relaxer (November) my mop will be long!

You would have a beautiful head of natural hair if you transitioned...just a suggestion. Anyhoo....good luck on your stretch! :)

transition already! ya know you want to! :)

I do, I DO!! But my hair is SO DAMN UNRULY when natural! I remember from my childhood is my grandmama's comb, the smell of that green hair grease, and the feelin' of my head KNOCKIN' after my tangly curls got combed and braided out!!!

But I really want to...

But see, if you were natural and lovin' it, as an adult you wouldn't be fightin' them curls. You'd condition, moisturize, detangle gently and go on 'bout your business. Most of our grandma's were too rough with our hair, plus they didn't have the tools, products and knowledge we have now. But anyway, good luck with the stretch. I wish you the best.:yep:

Sounds like we're in the same boat. My last relaxer was Oct. 3, 2004 and I don't plan to relax again until Oct. 2005. I'm also wearing braids. So far so good...the only problem is detangling my hair when I take the braids down. Last time it was a real struggle with 6 months of new growth. I took me forever, but I don't think I lost very much hair at all.

good luck on strechting im on week 11 after my relaxer trying to make it to 13 weeks or further its tempting to transition but my natural hair will always be there waiting for me..lol. happy hair growing and good luck on stretching.
