Going from a jet black rinse to a colored rinse

Hey guys. So I rinsed my hair a red color with Manic Panic a few months ago. It's starting to fade a tiny bit and I kind of feel like going to a jet black/purple-ish color. The only think is I really like how this red came out and I think I may want to do it in the future. I have that brownish colored hair so I think that really helped it to pop and I was wondering if I rinse my hair black is it going to really affect how the red will come out in the future? If so is there any way to strip a rinse from your hair?

Yes, I think rinsing it black will affect the way the red will come out next time. Some jet black rinses don't come completely out of the hair quickly, so the red may end up darker next time.

Pre-pooing and using oils often, helps to loosen the rinse from the hair. So oil treatments before you dye red again will help get the residue (sometimes you can't even see it) of black rinse off the hair.
