Thanks

Not sure how they are using MNT...I used to be part of the MNT crew but it dried out my hair and I didn't notice anything exceptional by using it.
Well 5 minutes after applying MegaTek and I was in love. SLIP, SOFTNESS, SLIP, THICKNESS, SLIP..lol. It's a great detangler. And my hair feels stronger and more elastic. I am now using it as part of my MN mix...so right on my scalp. And 3x a week I apply it to my strands as a leave in. I don't think I will use it as a conditioner (which I wash out) since it's pricey. I'm loving it as a leave in/daily scalp cream.

I didn't like the MnT, I got really dry brittle hair from that one too. :(

I'm sooo glad the Mega-Tek is finally getting some props! That stuff is awesome! I hadn't thought about using it with my MN, that is a great idea! It will work to condition the new growth close to the scalp (double benefit). I'll be mixing tonight!

Faith, I'm glad you like the Mega Tek. What does your leave in/daily scalp cream consist of besides the Mega Tek? What are the other ingredients that you mix with it. I know I have to be careful with buildup, how much do you put on your hair. Is your hair dry when you do so, or do you wash it. Sorry for the questions, but sometimes I can get heavy handed and I believe some of these horse products are concentrated and you don't need that much. I'm also falling over heels with the rehydrating spray. I started using it with my homemade moisturizing spray and when I use it in the morning, that evening when I get home from work my hair is still damp. I love that!
Hi,
It has MN, Megatek, Kemi oyl, WGO oil and water. That's for my scalp. For strands I use vitapro mixed with oil and megatek. I use both of these on dry hair/scalp. I tend to be heavy handed too but not with the scalp one.

The rehydrating spray is by the same company right? Are you mixing it?

Yes the rehydrating spray is by the same company. You can find out more about it from one of the those links that you posted. I have been using it before my homemade moisturizing spray and I just spray it on my hair straight from the bottle. It's suppose to attract moisture from the air and bind it to your hair and it's suppose to last for 24 hours. My bottle is almost gone. I will continue to experiment with these products. I have the avocado mist detangling spray, mega tek rebuilder, and the premier rehydrating spray. Can you please give me exact porportions of the mixture you put on your strands. How much vitapro, oil and megatek. Waiting your response. Thanks.

Oh boy...I don't know exactly how much was in my daily spray. I had about half a bottle of vitapro left (about 4-6 oz) and I added about 2 oz of oil and 2oz of megatek...not 100% sure on that one.
For the scalp mix I had the tube of MN, 1oz megatek and 1 oz of oil and 2 oz water. Next time I will do MN, 2oz megatek, and 2 oz of water. No oil.

Thanks Faith, I will try it. I have been using it straight, but perhaps it is better to mix with something. I will let you know.

I have been using
Eqyss Products since 1999. The Megatek "coconut smell is overpowering" to me, but mixed with something like conditionrer, ok. The Avocado Mist is excellent and the Eqyss Premier Shampoo is fine. It really cleans the hair well.

Yeah, I had some in my hair last week and this guy at work was like "what is that smell? Smells like coconuts. I had no idea at first them remembered and said "it's my conditioner". Then he says" smells good". Buddy started calling me "coconut lady".

While in braids I may get the rehydrating spray...or should I get the Avocado mist? Hm!

I found the poo to be too stripping for my hair. I use it as a clarifier, there's no way my hair can handle that stuff on the regular.

Just experiment and see what works for you. Unfortunately, I don't know if these products are in small bottles. I purchased the 32oz bottles. I did use Avocado Mist on my hair when I was in braids and I'm not sure how my hair responded to it. That's why I am going to conduct a little experiment to see how my hair is responding. I didn't want to say anything about the rehydrating spray until I was sure; but I think that it is responsible for keeping the moisture in my hair. I want to start using the avocado mist to detangle my hair before I wash and perhaps just spray a little on my hair afterwards. Some claim that it was too drying to their hair. I just want to find a regime that will keep my hair moist and I want to be dedicated to "babying" my ends. I put my homemade moisturizer on my hair in the AM (bun it) and the PM (braid it). Also one thing I like about the rehydrating spray, it gives your hair tremendous shine.

My co-worker just went and got me some Mega Tek Hair rebuilder from PetSmart ! ! ! ! ! Can't wait to use it !

I used my Mega Tek Hair Rebuilder last week and I was very pleased with my hair. My hair was strong, yet smooth and vibrant. I like Mega Tek and I will continue to use it and I will continue to purchase it. :)

Well, my products arrived from KV Vet Wednesday night.

Here's my review:

Premier Rehydrant Spray:
I instantly fell in love with the Premier Rehydrant spray. It moisturizes better than anything I've ever seen. My hair hasn't been dry since. It's a keeper. I'm stunned that it can moisturize without making the hair greasy. No oils or anything.

The only thing I didn't like is that it didn't have slip, which the manufacturer boasts makes it good to use under saddles :lachen:. I'd like a little slip with this ...but I can do without it. With all the protein I use on my hair, it's great to have a leave in moisturizer with natural emollients that keeps the hair hydrated A L L day (Plus it also has protein to boot!).

I'm done with my other conditioning sprays. They soften, but don't moisturize like this. The best thing is that it's not greasy like activator sprays, which are the only other thing that could achieve this constant moisture.

Mega-Tech Rebuilder
-- I do like it, but I'm not in love yet. I used it this morning during a CW. It was OK. Being a protein product, I don't think I should do CW's with it. My purpose in doing CWs is to get moisture, so I'll keep using my moisturizing conditioner and just a dab a little of this on towel dried hair as as a leave-in after the rehydrant spray. That's what I will try tomorrow.

Premier Cream Rinse
- Now this is great slip! But is it necssary? Yes, it detangles and smooths, seals the cuticle and softens ...but most of my daily CW conditioners do that. I love the lightness and fast work of creme rinses though and it's been a long time since I've found one I liked (not since TCB discontinued theirs)...you never know when your hair might get tangled. Should come in handy more when I'm close to touch-up time ...or after some protein treatment.

Hi guys!

Could someone please post the ingredients of the MegaTek Rebuilder and the Avocado Mist?
Do a search for the mega tek ingredients, they were posted for me a week or so ago.

Synthia, what are the ingredients for the hydrating spray? Any glycerin? I have to get some now..it sounds nice :)

It's my day off so I'm sitting at home with my bottle .

The hydrant sprays ingredrients are: Deionized water , hydrolyed mucopolysaccharides , citric acid, allantoin, cetrimonium chloride, hydrolyzed wheat protein, socium pca, propylene glycol, methylparaben, tetradoidum ETA, DMDM Hydantoin, polysorbate 20, polysorbate 80, extracts of aloe vera and lavender, fragrance.

I don't know what I just typed  and frankly it doesn't sound too good (plus I see a paraben!).

But the bottle boasts "natural emollients" and says "natural ingredients promote a healthy shine and allow the skin to respirate properly."

It works for me and I love it, so I'm not researching what these ingredients are until my bottle is almost gone ...:(

I don't have the avocade mist, but the Rebuilder is made of: Deionized water, hydrolyed keratin protein, stearalkonium chloride, glyceryl stearate, peg 100 stearate, marine protein, peg 40, panthenal, dimethicone copolyol, magnesium citrate, allantoin, amino acids, methylparaben, mucopolysaccharides, propylparaben, imidazol-idinyl urea, fragrance.

Wow, at least 3 types of protein. yummy.

Question about the rehydrating mist...can it be used on your hair WHEN you're wearing it down or is it too heavy? Also does it get a bit sticky like scurl does? Thanks.

Hey Faith, I don't see why you can't put it on when you're wearing your hair down. It says it can be used on wet or dry hair. It is not sticky, it attracts moisture from the air and binds it to your hair. I have always used it in conjunction with my homemade moisturizing spray and when I take my hair down in the evening when I get home from work, but hair is still moist and I like that. I spray the rehydrate spray on first very lightly and then I spray my hair with the homemade moisturizer. I have a texturizer and 99% of the time my hair is moist. I spray my hair AM and PM with this rehydrating spray and my homemade moisturizer. I think the rehydrating spray may be concentrated so a little goes a long way. I'm thinking about making a match of homemade moisturizer and experimenting by adding some rehydrating spray to it. If you decide to try it, please let us know what you think.

I ordered some but won't get it until the end of the month. I'll definitely review it...

So are these products made for horses?
Go to the MAIN site I linked on here (somewhere). The products were INITIALLY made for humans then they moved to catering for horses and now do horses, humans, cats, dogs, etc. Basically hair and fur...lol.
Eqyss.com has a section for humans where they sell these products.

Not sure what it would be considered...maybe a reconstructor. I love it as a leave in.
I like it because it gives me instant detangling AND my hair feels STRONGER after I apply it. Also it helps my hair break LESS. It's great for people who didn't get along with MNT..lol.

I just purchased this yesterday and used a little on my hair. I've been experiencing some breakage lately and hopefully this will help. Next time I will buy it on line. The sales person at PetsMart wanted to know all about my horse!! I told her I have friends who own horses.(which is true!)...that's all I said.... :)

I just purchased this today and should get it by Friday, so I'll use it over the weekend and let you all know what I think about it. :)

Actually the Eqyss Shampoo is what I use for a deep deep cleanser and not on a regular basis. Regular use is stripping, I agree. I alternate it with other things. bonjour
