Oh my goodness, y'all shoulda seen it! I would have taken a picture, but I was too ashamed. Suffice it to say, I glanced at my reflection while I was in Marshall's (where I got a PHI ionic flat iron for $25!), and was like, Ma, why you ain't tell me how I was lookin?!?!
Terrible. This is what happened: I did a very cute twist-out, with it pinned back on both sides... BUT, I used my homemade leave-in to do it. Bad idea. It's been in the 90's all week and mad humid (snarky thanks to Hurricane Bill), so the glycerin sucked up all the moisture in the air.
By the end of the day, I had an (unintentional) afro.
Now, don't get me wrong, if my hair did that on the regular, and I was prepared for it, I would be very pleased, cuz it's normally very tired looking, like fatigued
, so any texture or poufy-ness is welcome... but I need to know about it in advance.
So, ladies, moral of the story, taken from the pages of my hair journal: "Avoid products with glycerin on humid days."
