OMG!!!!
Good luck to you. This would be hard for me. I automatically type in LHCF in my browser. It would probably 10 post later when I would realize I had given this place up for lent.

:lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen: Exactly.

It's called self-denial, that is why I am dong it becaue it is hard. No Prison break, No 24, No AI, No Grey's Anatomy :cry2: :cry2: :cry2:

You see I am trying to hang on until 12:00 AM.

Oh my God, you are going cold turkey... I haven't decided what to fast. I think I will go with reading the bible every day for 40 days...

Dang girl you are going all out. I am still trying to decide what I am going to do. I will be praying for you and checking out your blog and sending words of encouragement. Q

Thank you 4 your support. During this time. I will be in the word.

Guess what? I am not Catholic, but I gave up LHCF for the Lent season. I have not visited this website (according to the ticker at the top that says "last visited") since February 16, 2007. It was difficult, because I had become addicted to LHCF. I did it though, and I am happy. I still did not spend as much time with God as I had planned, but I focused less on what was my becoming idol-like in my life, my hair.

BTW, I washed my hair on Sat. morning, and it looked as if it were still growing. I am grateful for LHCF, but I am even more grateful for what Christ gave up for me.

Yup, I gave up LHCF for the Passion Week season, since our church was on a fast anyway leading up to Resurrection.

I flunked in some other areas, because I couldn't really steal away like I should have. And I wasn't in the Word enough. But this was the most reflective fast and i saw some wonderful results. The Lord gave me a breakthrough in the area of lust (lust of the flesh, eyes and pride of life). I didn't know it had such a hold in my life! So I am just sooo grateful to Him...The Lord is sooo good to us! :yep:
