Giovanni 50/50 remoisture conditioner

It is a Balancer Like the GPB (and other Balancing Conditioners) I assumed it is 50% Protein and 50% Moisture:look:

Calming & Hydrating * Taken from the Bottle

For Normal to Dry Hair--protects over-worked, processed and color-treated hair while locking in color and shine
Leaves Hair perfectly ph balanced and conditioned
The Perfect Mix, the perfect match. That's what you'll get with 50:50 Balanced Hydrating Calming Conditioner.

Ideal for reawakening dry hair to the wonders of moisture, this conditioner works its magic on a daily basis.

Thanks :). I have the conditioner at home, but I'm not home at present so I couldn't check out the ingredients. I looked them up online but they only had the ingredients for the new formulation. I bought the old formulation at TJ Maxx. It seems to be good. I wanted a rinse out conditioner for regular use that contained protein. Just so long as it has protein in it, I'm happy :).

This conditioner did absolutely nothing for hair, it was if I had deep conditioned with pure water. Glad you guys had luck with it though. :-)

I haven't used it yet.:ohwell: It doesn't say anything on the Bottle about Deep Conditioning with it? It just says: Massage in and Rinse Thoroughly.

It's been my experience that Giovanni Conditioners are a little too runny/thin for any kind of Penetrating Deep Conditioning Treatments.

When I Deep Condition, I always use a thick/heavy Conditioner that specifies it can be used as a DC or some sort of Masque (Mask) that is also geared for Intensive Deep Conditioning Treatment.

None of Giovanni's conditioners do anything for my hair as DC's. Supposedly one could use the SAS as a DC, but I tried it and my hair was like "Huh? :ohwell: What's this stuff you're trying to feed me?!" Their conditioners tend to work well as rinse outs for me, though. Haven't tried the 50/50 yet, but I will be sure to tell you guys about it as soon as I try it (and I won't forget like I did with the Blue Camomile conditioner ;))

i have this, havent used it yet because im so in love with the deeper moisture conditioner but i wil use this soon. i assumed it was a light protein.

IA: Chances are I probably would not attempt to DC with Giovanni based strictly on the Consistency. I also have Smooth As Silk (SAS), but I probably would just use as a rinse-out conditioner.

I also have Giovanni Nutra-Fix Reconstructor, and I have left that one longer. But it is heavier/thicker in nature.:yep:

The Others IMO are a lot thinner and would serve no purpose for me as far as a Deep Conditioning Treatment.

Just wanted to report that I tried the 50/50 conditioner, and it worked well for me. It was really moisturizing and thick. It's a similar consistency to the SAS, and it detangles nicely too, but not as well as the SAS. But it moisturized my hair better than the SAS. I like them both. SAS makes my hair feel smoother, 50/50 makes it feel more moisturized.

That's really good to know. I have them both too. I also have the Deeper Moisture which I like.

Thanks for the review.

Yeah, I dc'd w/ SAS too and was highly disappointed. Then I used SAS Deeper Moisture Conditioner and it was muuuuuch better. Maybe that's the one everyone is referring to

I mix this w/ Aubrey HSR and it's a fantastic deep conditioning treatment for me. It's like moisture on blast for my hair ... Used independently I could do w/o both conditioners, but used together... nothing short of the bomb. I mix about equal amounts of both in a jar and use it. The combo is def rich and creamy... and affordable

Oooh, I'll definitely be trying this!

This doesn't sound like a protein conditioner at all. Nothing in the ingredients indicates taht it is a protein conditioner, but even just judging from the name it sounds like it is intended to be a moisturizing product.

Tiff: Are you still planning to use this today? I read the ingredients. I think I even posted them.

It still sounds really good to me.
Naw, I chickened out and used protein fill-a instead  Wish I woulda used the Giovanni, but oh well :D I'll use it next week

I love gpb now i know why! my hair feels really balanced when i use it, thank you for the explanation i had no idea it had moisture as well as protein.
