I took the pics in April of last year. I meant to make a thread about it but I was a newbie and still intimidated by this forum.:look:

I was 4b/c natural at the time and desparately seeking staples. Giovanni 50:50 was my staple until this happened.

New formulation:

As you can see the ingredients in the "new" formulation are really interesting compared to this: The old formulation.

Just sad.:nono: You can see from thier little "conditioning meter'' that the new formulation is less moisturizing than the old one. I started getting really frustrated and discouraged after they pulled this one on me.

Hope this helps.

Yep. I have the New One.:perplexed That Kills me when they Reformulate a Product that everybody seems to love.

It has to be all about profit. Did you not find it as moisturizing but "still good?":look:

Or just blah overall?

I use the new formulation and it detangles my hair like no other. I can tell it has a low PH so my hair just behaves and detangles well. I just bought my second extra-large bottle.

It was like a whole different product to me. I chucked it. It did nothing for my hair, but I was natural and my hair was very picky.

Thanks for the breakdown! That really sucks, why do companies wanna go and do stupid crap? I hope I like the new one :ohwell:

Just wanted to say that I'm loving the 50/50 (old formulation). Leaves my hair feeling so moisturized! I haven't even moisturized my hair today, and it still feels moisturized :yep:. If any of you can get your hands on the old formulation of the 50:50 conditioner at TJMaxx or Marshall's, try it out.

I just bought the new formulation from TJMaxx. Oh well I will see how it works.

Next time I'm in there......I'll definitely look.:sekret:

Thanks

Oh snap...looking at the bottles I believe I have the new formulation of the 50:50 :look:. Oh well, worked well for me, lol.

I mix this w/ Aubrey HSR and it's a fantastic deep conditioning treatment for me. It's like moisture on blast for my hair ... Used independently I could do w/o both conditioners, but used together... nothing short of the bomb. I mix about equal amounts of both in a jar and use it. The combo is def rich and creamy... and affordable

Oooh, I'll definitely be trying this!

Ditto! I finally have them both and can't wait for time to take down these braids so I can use them together this way. I will most likely try the SAS alone first to see how my hair likes it and if I am disappointed, then I will combine it with the AO HSR.
