Okay, kind of spinning off from the thread about hair dreams... Kinikakes, your post was too funny! :)

Ladies, is there someone from your past that perhaps you haven't seen in a while and now that your hair is longer you would so regret running into this person if your hair were not down and flowing?

I know this is so shallow, but someone comes to mind for me. There's this person that if I ever ran into them, I hope it would be on a day where my hair was down. In fact, I ran into some of said person's family members about 2 years ago and my hair was down! I was so glad. :D

I know what you mean. I am upset because I have to go to a wedding where my ex will be this summer and I will be nowhere near my goal length, at all.:ohwell:

i would luuuv to run into my ex. I was with him for 8 yrs and my hair was the same length for all those yrs. LOL! BTW he was mexican so he had this theory that black hair didn't grow. I would tell his @$$, " i dunno as soon as i got that stress off my back (YOU), it just started growin!" LOL!

When I reach my goal length I really want to run into my former hairdresser. She really overreacted to all of my "no trim" requests. When I told her that I don't want my hair to stay the same length she yelled "Some hair just doesn't get any longer". I'm already starting to prove her wrong.

I'm going to be a bridesmaid in a wedding in September, and I'm sure that we're going to wear our hair up, but I would love it if I got to wear my hair down that day.

I hate to admit this but....

Yes, one of my ex's... while we were still together and a little on the rocks my hair was REALLY short. I always thought it was a factor in us ultimatley breaking up because to be frank my hair was jacked! Well, I had a sit down with him when I decided to grow my hair and tried to tell him that in about 4 years my hair would be long.

anyway fast forward 2 years and WHY did I run into him at a convention at work. (we are in the same industry) so he goes, "wow, you haven't aged a bit!" :ohwell: "How long has it been; 4 year?"

First off, my hair was looking cute.. and had grown a bit but it was not nearly as long as i would have liked it to be, S-specially:lol: if I were going to run into him. anyway... the saga continues... I can't wait to run into him in about another 2-3 years

Well for me it's not a particular person.........I wanted to show it off for my class reunion. 1 month before my reunion......it fell out because of a "harsh" die job. :ohwell:

Hmmm, the person I'm thinking of has already seen me a million and one times since we split, and each time he's seen me my hair has been longer and longer. He even made a comment about how surprised he was at my hair's length. It was excuse for repeatedly petting my fro. Still, it would be nice to run into him when I reach my goal length, just cause I know I'll look even hotter than I do now and he should always be reminded of what he's missing.

I think the person who I really want to see me with my hair out (not shrunken) is a male friend with benefits who once told me that black girls can't grow long hair. We were watching TV and every time a black chick with long hair came on the screen he'd mumble, "weave." It pissed me off, even though half of the chicks probably were wearing weave. But the insistence that no black woman could have long hair naturally without being mixed with something bugged me to the nnth degree. So yeah, he's the person I'd like to show off a head full of long naps to.

Oh definitely. I had one ex, and when we first started dating I always had my hair in braids. It was right after I bc'd. Well when I took them out he used to make little side comments, about how maybe I should go back in braids yada yada:perplexed . I'll admit it was rough, b/c I was newly natural, was recovering from a bad dye job, and didn't know how to do my hair in this state. We stopped seeing each other, but about a year ago we went out on date, he couldn't stop saying how cute and healthy my hair looked. Since then its grown quite a bit, and I would love to see him now and show him what he missed out on.:look:

This is with my friends. They made fun of me when i started buying different hair products they had never heard before, when i starting browsing LHCF and when i cut my hair. They saw me this weekend and couldnt keep their hands out of my hair. Im glad i decided to wear it down that day cos even when i flat iron, i always put it in a ponytail

Yes, and I'm not afraid to unpin a bun on somebody if necessary. :sekret:

:lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen: :lachen:

if i start wearing my hair straight more often, i can definitely see myself unpinning at a moments notice on someone...

yes, there are definitely more than a few people who i'd love to unleash on now that it's grown so much... i go back to where i used to work when i first bc'd every so often, and each time people are all in my head trying to figure out where all the hair came from.. lol

Yes sir!!!
Id like to show my little cousin who has classic length hair.

I'll pull off my scarf, pull my long chinese stick out of my bun and let the hair cascade down to my waist in a hot second, lol!:lachen:

3 years from now, lol:ohwell:

 i'd like to see his face after that. I also want my ex to see with my bsl hair. i know he won't recognize me cause when we were together i'd just started my hair journey.

I have a hair dresser that used to fry the crap out of my hair with his flat iron. When I hit brastrap length I will show his lil cocky behind how healthy hair is really supposed to look!

You guys just got me to thinking. My BF's family reunion is at the end of August. I would love to get another 3 inches and be a full healthy APL by then.

I would like to show my grandmother. When I told her I wasn't perming anymore, she nearly passed out. At Thanksgiving last year, all my aunts and uncles (her sisters and brothers) where down and she made the comment that I should go put some gel to my kitchen b/c it was ruff (which pissed me off but what could I say). But luckily one of my aunts came to my defense. She told her in Colorado that was what all the girls were doing and my grandmother was like I guess it would be healthier. I would love this Thanksgiving in super model fashion come through the door, unpin my hair and have it swinging from left to right and hit her in the face with it!

Lol. This is funny because my hair is no where near long. But there were times where I wish my hair was longer when I bumped into girls I haven't seen in a while. They would try to upstage me:mad: but I'd rather have longer hair that is mines because it is priceless. My wealth will come in due time. Maybe I will be able to post at the end of the year.

oh HECK yes... that drama with my ex, and his now hood-rat girl toy, let me tell you she pulled my hair trying to make me hit her so I'd get put out of school, i didnt hit her but I tried to yank her neck outta socket... so I eventually cut it cause she put her hands on it, and I felt I was in a new phase in my life with the ex gone (never cutting because of a guy again!!) so I cut my midback length to arm pit, and its been growing almost bra strap... next time I see her bald headed hood-rat self I want waist length, and if she try to touch it I'll CUT HER!!!

You ladies are too FUNNY!

I definitely want to do a hair toss in the face of the major EX, hopefully I have some cleavage action going on because this combo would make him fell to his knees beggin. ;) I don't want him back...I just want to make him drool....

this happens occasionally since i wear my hair up so much. of course i go out of my way to try to see them again. i'm petty, i know... :look:

when i was first growing my hair out, i hadn't seen my ex-husband in a while. when i did see him, and i had my hair down, do you know he had the nerve to make neighing sounds like a horse because he thought i had a weave? i LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the look on his face when he realized it was all mine. yep, doing so much better without you, *****!!

This thread is classic!! Who would I love to run into with my hair out? One of my former hairdressers that damaged my hair when I was a kid.

 I have actually asked myself if there was a non-obvious way I could do this if I ran into "said person" with my hair up one day!

 he made neighing sounds? how rude! i guess there's a reason why he's the EX-husband and not the current one.
