Getting a texturizer & im scurrred!

I should be going ahead and getting my texturizer tomorrow but I am SCARED as HELL!!! I've been transitioning for just less than a year and have about 5 inches of natural hair and about 2inches of relaxed ends... I plan to do a strand test {Qu - Do I cut my hair or do the test on one patch of my hair?} I'm scared of it not coming out right, and that would mean I would have to transition all over again...erplexed or will I be able to apply it again its like underprocessed? Also what if it takes but it looks whack what do I do then . Also the main reason for me wanting a texturizer is for managability what if a texturizer doesn't provide this!?

I'm real scared now

Awe! Don't be scared! Tonight do a ton of research here on self application (if that is what you are doing) and definitely do the strand test. Please take before and after pictures to share with us. Good luck!!!! I'm excited for you!!!!!
