There are several women on this board whose ends make me drool--PrettyHaitian & Macherieamour to name a couple. Over the last year or so, I have become a little obsessed with my ends! I like the new length. :)

no way its like looking at my own head of hair!

we're the same length now...its ok up here ya know lol, it'll grow back in no time :yep:

Oh my GOSH I ADORE your ends! I'm an ends person to. Most of us can grow long hair but can we do so with thick ends? Aha. Thats the question and girl this hair is the stuff. And it's straight I love that.

the trick is to grow your hair aslong as you CAN without trims

thats means if ur hair breaks bad, or you have your hair brastrap and 4 strands waistlength lol you have to trim

when u reach your desired length, trim an inch or a few to have a new starting point

then you can carry on along your way!

Thanks y'all--it was scary, but now I feel like my hair has some "shape" to it if that makes any sense at all.

My regimen *right now*

I shampoo/condition once a week and then I condition once a week without shampoo. I am trying to go longer without shampooing. Using no cone conditioners helps. I airdry. (last night I flat ironed before my trim--I have a Remington Tourmaline Ceramic Iron w/ Teflon Fiber over the plates-LOVE IT!)

Since it is about winter time, I will probably only shampoo and/or condition once a week. I'll use my hooded dryer for about 10-15 minutes instead of airdrying all the way from soaked to dry. I rollerset at home every blue moon.

I am still wearing protectives styles most of the time, but I do wear my hair down more now than I used to.

Products I'm loving *right now*
DE Moisture Retention Shampoo (old formula and I'm almost out of it :()
Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo
Elasta QP Shampoo for Relaxed Hair
Regis Design Line Olive Oil Hair Masque (just got this last week, have only used once but so far so good)
AO Honey Suckle Rose
AO GPB

My oils: Jojoba, Apricot Kernel, Shea, Avocado, Keracare EO

I use the jojoba just about daily. I like the apricot kernel often too, especially on the ends. The Keracare is a good ends oil (if you're wearing your hair up--it's a heavy oil) The other oils I use sporadically, but they're wonderful. If wearing my hair down, I don't use the oils so much.

I am relaxed w/ Mizani lye. Right now I'm going every 9-10 weeks. Rollersets only at the salon. I do my own trims.

ETA: I need to edit my signature I'm not really using most of those products right now.

i've noticed giving up shampoo is the way to go...my hair grows faster without shampoo - more water - more natural and conditioning stuff

nice regime!

I'd like to have your hair AND waist, please!!! :clapping:

Anyway, did you cut your hair yourself, or did the stylist at JCP do it for you? If you did it yourself, how were you able to do this on your own?
